It looks like the weather in the Western Pacific today (November 8, 2016) would be great in these coming days. Last week, 3 simultaneous disturbances rocked this part of the globe with typhoon Meari leading the pack. However, if we wood look at the weather map provided by the JMA below, we would see that there’s already very little activity left.
There’s the low pressure area just south east of the Philippines but models don’t show pretty good development for this system as of now.
There is also currently an invest area (95w invest) located at 11.6°N 161.9°E.
If this would develop into a storm, models show that it would not hit any landmass. Here’s the latest GEFS track:
It shows that the system may follow a northwest track and eventually dissipate as it moves towards a more unfavorable environment.
The latest GEPS model for 95W Invest also supports this claim:
Should you be worried about the state of the weather today? Nope. This satellite shows that weather today is actually pretty good. Get out and have fun!
